Ford Escort 1300 GT

Recently restored.

Sold new in Oulu, Finland and been there all its live. It has had 4 owners to date.

• First owner from 1971 to 1982.
• Second owner from 1982 to 1999.
• Third owner from 1999 to 2021.
• Current owner from 2021 to present.

It was removed from traffic use in the early 2000’s and put into storage, then forgotten about until the current owner purchased it. In 2022 he had the car restored back to its current condition, the restoration took around one year and was completed in 2023.

Some of the works carried out are listed below.

• Stripped to a bare shell and sandblasted.
• All rust repairs carried out, this also included new outer sills, rear arches and one new front wing.
• Completely resprayed in this glorious colour, underneath rust protected.
• Interior had new carpet, new roof lining and new front seat coverings, rear bench seat is original.
• Mechanically totally gone trough including engine main bearings, piston rings, new brakes, new wheel bearings, new shock absorbers and mainly new bushes.

There are more details that are not mentioned but clearly visible in the photos, nearly every nut and bolt has been renewed or cleaned.
