Volkswagen Road Beach Buggy
Converted from and registered as a VW 1303 S -74. All modifications noted and approved for road use here in Finland, has a current road inspection (MOT/TUV).
Chassis is mostly renewed with quality parts, and the rest of the body was welded by a professional roll-cage builder here in Finland.
Engine:
1835 cc and professionally built with new parts, only the reconditioned block is original.
Machined for a 92 mm AA cylinder/piston set and CB Performance 044 40/35.5 stepped and hipped heads. TriMil Baja exhaust system, multi-ribbed belt, 123 distributor, filter stand/oil pump, 2 kg lighter flywheel, standard clutch and gearbox & valves. DellOrto 36 mm DRLA carburetors & crankcase breather systems. Approx. 80-90 hp. Gearbox has been rebuilt from the original.
Suspension:
Suspension front and rear are the best you can find and with a -75 rack/pinion steering. Brakes as well are the best parts available.
Kerscher coilovers in front, and stabilizers in front and rear, flipped tie rod ends, about 50 – 60 mm lowered. Silver Project Camper plates, MBT-Construction IRS coilover suspension at the rear.

- Kirkey seats with cushions
- Flatfour Cobra shifter and Porsche vintage handbrake
- Longacre steering wheel
- Electric fuel pump and Kingfilter pressure regulator/filter
- Master switch in ex gas door and new gas door from Audi TT in front panel
- Ariel Atom style mirrors
- Shroth 4-point elastic belts with electric tilt
- Lights MP billet shells and E-approved H4 and LED lamps
- Pirelli Corsa Classic 235 and 295/15 tires on Japan Racing 8.5 and 10.5 rims.
- Total weight is around 600kg.
This was not a cheap build as you can imagine.
