Little update.
The makeshift repair worked quite well and we are now in the UK, she drove flawlessly and just needed topping up with water slightly every time we pulled over for fuel.
We also needed to top up with oil and found this great spares shop in Holland that had the oil grade we needed, he was happy to see us in the Jag.
Funny thing was that just as we were driving onto to boat to the UK she decided to cut out, not too sure if she was keen to go back to the UK but I had a little chat with her and all was good in the end 😄🇬🇧
Now we are all resting and heading to Goodwood tomorrow, new expansion tank has been ordered and will be fitted before we leave. ... See MoreSee Less

On the way back you are welcome in Holland for a coffee
I was able to make a make shift repair on the boat before arriving in Germany, we then drove 30 km to a nice Motel in Lübeck without any issues.
This morning I cleaned the areas and applied some weld putty and hopefully we are now back on track, I found another hole and a previous repair. Once in the UK I will replace the header tank.
Next we have a 600 km drive to Holland ready for the ferry to the UK.
