BSA  A10 Super Rocket

This is a USA special, a few of these bikes were produced for the USA and Canada market and this is one of them.

Rare Dual- Carb version with twin Amal 626/300 and 626/301 carburetted aluminium cylinder head.

It is an extremely rare piece and very few examples of the dual carb heads exist today.

More common were a cast aluminium single carburation design. The stamping number serial on the head is 67-1106 G54 AM.

which tell us that the head is latest version of dual ported type with intake 1,41” and 1,38” exhaust valves.

All cooling fins are perfect condition on the head and barrel. Also the chromed engine covers and cases are like unscrewed.

All electrical appliances work as they should, new 10% faster belt drive charging 7.20v at 2000 rpm.

This bike underwent a complete mechanical renovation by Wes at Wes Scott Cycles in Fort Lauderdale Florida 10 years ago.

Engine (0,20” size), head, guides, valves, springs, gearbox, clutch, primary, brakes, forks and rear shocks .

The latest update including the new seat, tyres and four gallon tank with the red badges. (original tank included)

The original front fender shows a small pitting in the middle area telling us her 64 years lived life.

Frame number FA7-10108, engine CA10R8669, both April -59, give us a matching numbers.

Original period flanged aluminium wheels and original chronometric speed and rev counter work perfect.

The bike has been in a private collection in Oakland Park Florida over ten years and has been driven less than 400miles since renovation.

The bike has taken part in a few exhibitions in Florida and has done quite well, third place at the Mods vs Rockers Vintage Motorcycle class 2009 and second place at the Antique Motorcycle Show at Dania Beach January 30^th 2010.

Both prizes are included with the sale.

She has spent the last few years in the tender care of  MC- Racing Engineering  in Finland, Pentti Elo´s bike collection in occasional use.

The bike sold with a Finnish EU title. Familiarization and a test drive will be organized for those who wish.
