Lotus Cortina Race Car

Newly built FIA track car using mainly new parts, this vehicle is in great condition.

The current owner built it to compete and race here in Finland at the Historic track races, unfortunately due to personal reasons the car now needs to be sold. It has been tested on the track and performs extremely well, driven around 150km since the build.

This is not a genuine Lotus! The model on the registration certificate is “2D Cortina GT1500”.  The engine size “1558cc” is listed, also that it now has a Lotus Twin-Cam 1.6 fitted is listed.

FIA passport was issued on 05/10/2021 and is valid until 31/12/2031.

The engine has been fully rebuilt with mainly new parts.

• Accralite pistons.
• Steel conrods.
• Camshafts manufactured in Finland.
• Weber 45DCOE Carburettors.

The gearbox has new race gearing from Lampola Gearboxes, Finnish company. Also new clutch fitted.

All new Bilstein suspension.

New or refurbished brakes.

New Limited Slip Differential with 4.7 ratio.

Very well built and strong roll cage, built to FIA regulations in Finland.

Bonnet, boot, and door outer skins are as they should be and in Aluminium.

Some other extras to mention:

• New foam filled alloy fuel tank.

• New twin Facet electric fuel pumps.
• New lightweight battery.
• New oil cooler.
• Perspex windows and rear screen, front windows slide up/down.
