Toyota Land Cruiser FJ45

The FJ45 was the pickup version of the 40-Series Land Cruiser. They were offered as a LWB and SWB version. The pickup FJ45 is not as common as the wagon FJ40, they are also a lot more sought after.

This Toyota Land Cruiser FJ45 has what can be considered as an easy life. It was sold new here in Finland and spent most of its life in Lapland, they do not use salt on the roads in Lapland which has kept this vehicle well preserved. Still has the original Toyota dealer’s sticker on the back screen.

I had a good look underneath at the chassis and it is in great rust-free condition, I also could not see any weld patches or previous repairs. The original stamped chassis number is still extremely clear and easy to read, very rare for these vehicles as normally all rusted.

The body is also in very good condition, there are a few blemishes here and there but nothing mayor at all. It has been sprayed on the outside with a darker blue, reason for this is that the current owners work vehicles are all the same shade of blue. All the inside arears still seem to be in the original lighter blue paint.

Inside the cabin it is still nice and original, only the drivers seat seems to have been replaced. Meter reading is showing just over 13000km, of course it has gone around at least once but hard to believe that it would be 213000km.

Mechanically everything is in order, drives well and engine sounds great. It was inspected in July 2021, it is valid until 2025 (four years) as it is registered on the Finnish museum register. The exhaust has had a few repairs and the back box is blowing a bit, this could do with changing.
